Business / General Membership Meetings

Typically a luncheon meeting held the 2nd Wednesday on varying months. The Chamber provides a guest speaker which in the past has included US Congressman, Senators, Parish President’s Address, US Chamber of Commerce Representative, Skip Bertman, Sheriff Jason Ard, Local Elected Officials, State Elected Officials, National Elected Officials, Business interest representatives, Mayors of each municipality, and more providing topics of interest to the Business Community.  Sponsorships are available and are sold out quick.

State of the Parish Address

Annually Parish President Layton Ricks delivers his official State of the Parish Address to the Chamber Business Community.  With a strong attendance and high level of interest, the business community is encouraged to hear the state of parish infrastructure, ordinances and other important issues which are part of the parish administration’s duties.

State of Business Address

As the name implies, the Chamber along with its annual meeting brings the results of our annual business survey and other factors affecting business throughout the year.  The Chamber also provides the State of the Chamber address and recaps the year’s progress while aligning upcoming plans.

State of Education Address

Included with the annual scholarship presentation, the Chamber brings in education officials to overview the state of education in Livingston Parish.  From preschool to higher education, business understands the collaboration necessary to employ a qualified workforce and assist in paths for students.

Mayors' Address

Sometimes included with the State of the Parish address, Mayors from each of the eight municipalities are invited to bring the perspective of their parish to the business community. Each community faces different growth and challenges and the Mayors’ address allows for an informative session from each.

State of Law Enforcement Address

Sheriff Jason Ard is the chief law enforcement official in the parish.  Knowing the state of crime and the economic vitality of the parish go hand in hand, the Chamber collaborates on many opportunities throughout the year with the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office.
